1.6. Cleaning and maintenance

  • The machine and its work area must be kept clean and tidy in accordance with generally accepted health and safety rules.
  • The chips produced during the milling of the blank key should be regularly removed from the container under the milling socket, while those remaining on the milling unit components should be gently removed with the brush included in the set.
  • The only liquid cleaning agent that may be used to clean the machine, accessories, original keys, and blank keys is mineral spirits.
  • The components of the scanning unit, in particular the measuring probe and the reference element, must be kept very clean. Use a soft, clean brush (e.g., from the enclosed set) to clean these components. If necessary, you can moisten the brush with mineral spirits for stubborn dirt.
  • It is prohibited to use preparations that reduce electrical resistance (e.g. in the form of electrical contact fluids) on any machine components, original keys intended for scanning, or blank keys for processing.
  • Do not use the following to clean the machine: compressed air, wet objects (e.g., rags, cloths, etc.).
  • A vacuum cleaner can be used to remove swarf, but take special care not to damage any machine components with the suction nozzle.
  • Prohibited:
    • use COMPRESSED AIR for cleaning
    • removing the machine housing,
    • disassembly of components, in particular covers or safety devices,
    • lubrication of any machine component.
    • other activities beyond the scope of normal use and maintenance, which are described in this manual.
  • According to the warranty card, a technical inspection must be carried out every 500 key copies. This operation may only be performed by an authorized service center or the manufacturer.

Danger

Failure to follow the machine instructions and comply with the prohibitions listed therein will result in immediate loss of warranty and may cause permanent damage to the machine and accessories. As a result, all costs of any repairs will be borne by the user, including those normally covered by the free warranty procedure.
